This podcast is about some of my favorite books that I would recommend for you. They are all Historical Fiction.

Book 1: The Insignificant Events of The Life of a Cactus

This book is about a girl that has no arms. She can do most of the stuff that people with arms can do. She has to move to Arizona so her mom and dad can get a better job. She has to go to a new school and withstand other kids staring at her and making fun. In her journey, she becomes friends with a boy named Conner who has a disability known as Tourette’s. I would rate this book a 10/10 because it is a very good story and it gives a very good life lesson: to not judge someone on how they look but on their personality.

Book 2: A Place to Hang The Moon by Kate Abuse

This book is about a girl named Anna and her two brothers named William and Edmund. They are orphans and they used to live with their grandmother. The book takes place in World War 2. They are sent away and are traveling from house to house trying to see which home they will stay in forever. They finally find a place at the end of the book with a librarian. I would rate this book a 10/10.

Book 3: The War That Saved My Life

This book is a very good story. It is about a girl named Adar, I should tell you that she has a club foot. That means that her foot is facing the wrong way. She has a brother named Jamie. They don’t know their ages because their mother never told them. They are in the middle of World War 2. Adar didn’t even know that there was a war going on and had very little education because her mother was ashamed of Adar’s club foot so she didn’t let her go outside. I would rate this book a 100 out of 10 because it is my favorite book ever.

I hope you enjoyed this podcast and got some good stories to read!
